Braised Steak

Beef is rich in vitamins from the B complex, vitamin K, protein and minerals like iron, which promotes coagulation. Choose lean cuts and don’t eat more than 2 servings of beef per week.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. steak
  • 6 strips of turkey bacon
  • 8 baby carrots
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 TBSP Nutrioli®
  • 2 cups beef stock
  • 1 sprig of fresh thyme

Directions

  1. Using a sharp knife, trim all fat from the steak. Slice horizontally from side to side and fill the openings with carrots and bacon. Season steak with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat Nutrioli® in a heavy skillet and brown meat on both sides. Add beef stock, cover and reduce heat. Cook for 45 minutes or until steak is tender and cooked through. Serve with a salad.
