Grilled Marinated Panela Cheese

Panela cheese is high in protein and calcium, but low in fat, making it low in calories, as well.

Ingredients

  • 2 TBSP Nutrioli®
  • 1 shallot
  • ½ cup apricot preserves
  • 1 chipotle chili in adobo sauce, or to taste
  • ¼ cup chipotle marinade
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • 1 piece panela cheese (14 oz.)
  • 4 slices pineapple, cut in half

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients except cheese and pineapple in a bowl until well-incorporated. Place cheese and pineapple slices in mixture and let marinade, preferably in the refrigerator.
  2. Heat grill and cook pineapple slices until grill marks are visible. Place on a plate. Repeat procedure with cheese. Serve hot.

 

TIPS:

Can be served with corn tortillas and salsa.
